Enhancing Honors Education
Investment
The Schreyer Honors College was founded by an extraordinary act of philanthropy and increased private support has enhanced what is widely recognized as the nation's top honors program. Additional investment will put Schreyer Scholars on a path that offers them the opportunity to impact the future of Penn State, their chosen professions, their communities, and the world.
Gift Support
During the fiscal year ending June 30, 2008, the college received $3.2 million in gifts from 901 donors. Most of these funds were contributed to new or existing endowments that directly support Schreyer Scholars as illustrated by this endowment and gift spending chart:

Endowment
Schreyer Honors College |
The College's endowment is made up of over 127 named funds that are designated to support specific areas of work in the College. The University distributes approximately five percent of the market value of the endowed funds each year to support areas of greatest interest to our donors.
