2009 Senior Class Gift Committee

Liz Kernion - Overall Chairperson

Liz Kernion, the 2009 Senior Class Gift Overall Chairperson, is an Economics major from Wexford, PA. An active member in her sorority, Pi Beta Phi, she also participates in Lion Ambasasdors and sings in the choir Essence of Joy. Liz joined the committee to honor the tradition of Penn State and bring the Class of 2009 together to leave a mark for alumni, students, and future students to enjoy and benefit.

Trina Finney - Gift Development Chairperson

Trina Finney, the 2009 Gift Development Chairperson, is a Biobehavioral Health major from Pittsburgh, PA. She is the group manager of HealthWorks and was a THON 2008 Family Relations captain. She is excited to be part of this year’s committee because she is excited to give back to Penn State and help establish a legacy for the Class of 2009.

Avery Peechatka- Public Relations Chairperson

Avery Peechatka, the 2009 Public Relations Chairperson, is an economics major from State College, Pennsylvania. Avery is serving on the Senior Class Gift Overall Committee as an opportunity to give back to the university, the town and the community around which he grew up. Avery also serves as Vice President of Lutheran Student Community.

Jenny Georges - Student Relations Co-Chairperson

Jenny Georges, the 2009 Internal Student Relations Chairperson, is a Biology major from Brooklyn, New York. She joined the Senior Class Gift Committee in order to teach the Class of 2009 how to make their first gift to Penn State and show them how to leave their legacy on campus. After graduating, Jenny plans to attend medical school in hopes of becoming a Pediatrician with a specialization in Cardiology.

Kimmie Aubrey - Student Relations Co-Chairperson

Kimmie Aubrey, the 2009 External Student Relations Chairperson, is excited to give back to Penn State through one of its greatest traditions - the Senior Class Gift. She is an active member of Zeta Tau Alpha and will be serving as their THON chair in 2009. Kimmie was also the Special Events Overall for Greek Week 2008. A Secondary Education Major specializing in English, Communications, and French, Kimmie hopes to teach in a high school close to her home in Bucks County when she graduates.

Jill Caffrey - Marketing Chairperson

Jill Caffrey, the 2009 Marketing Chairperson, is a Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management major from Fleetwood, PA.  She became involved with the Senior Class Gift committee because she feels it is important for each class to join together and give something unique back to the university. Involved in THON and the Homecoming Street Team, she plans to work in the hotel industry after graduation.
